Mary S Roberts Adoption Center – Adopt a Dog or Cat!

It was so nice to meet Zahira and staff at the Mary S Roberts Adoption Center in Riverside, Ca. They are the sweetest people and really love the pets that reside there. I can honestly say we were extremely impressed with their shelter and level of care they give their dogs and cats. We got to meet some of the long time residents who are in need of homes and photograph some very funny cats as well. These guys are all adorable and very sociable and would love to come home to be the well loved pet in your home.

If you are interested in adoption for a dog or cat please visit the website below and ask about these cuties. I mean really, just look at them how could you not fall in love!

Susan G Komen Paws for the Cure 2013

This was such a great event! We were very honored to be invited to participate in the first ever Susan G Komen, Bark for the Cure Fundraiser. Their first ever which took place in Murrieta Ca. If you do not know the story behind the Susan G Komen foundation you should.  Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.

The Inland Empire Affiliate was founded in 1966, incorporated in 1998 and hosted its inaugural Race for the Cure® in 1999

Very few people are not familiar with this name and now dog lovers are participating in the cause too. The fundraiser featured a Walk with your pets and family and cool events like the Weenie Dog Races and Best Trick Contest. With a host of vendors showcasing great products for beloved pets they came in droves, dressed in pink outfits and costumes and frolicked the morning away. Let me tell you as a the pet photographer for this event I was busy every moment! There was a lot going on and I wanted to capture it all. I ended up shooting over 1,000 images that morning and would have gladly gone all day. We will be looking forward to next years event and what fun activities they will have in store for participants and their dogs.

If you were not able to make it but would still love to help Paws for the Cure presented several booths with the CUTEST doggie product! Really its a good thing I was busy or we would have left broke! It’s not too late though, visit the store and remember every purchase goes to the noble cause of saving the “Ta Ta’s” and saving lives.

Raise Your Glass for a Cure Fundraiser, Van Roekel Winery

I was given a great opportunity to photograph this event last Sat. Organized by two wonderful ladies this event took place at the gorgeous location Van Roekel Winery in Temecula, Ca.  Jackie Hahn Mann and Andrea Newton McCullough worked hard to make it a fun filled day! The benefit ran Silent Auction baskets, Raffles, Wine tasting and delicious appetizers. Vendors who volunteered their time including Murrieta Cold Stone,  a DJ Service and myself. When I asked Andrea what inspired her to organize this fundraiser she wrote me this wonderful note:

“When I 1st signed up for the 3day 60mile walk to help the Susan G. Komen foundation I did it for a selfish reason. I at that time didn’t know anyone personally close to me that had breast cancer. After a gal from work lost her good friend I thought I would do this so that hopefully someday no one else has to lose a friend to this horrible disease. But after registering for it I learned a childhood friend was diagnosed with cancer and a few days before her 34th birthday had a double mastectomy. That is when it really hit home for me, knowing someone that I had grown up with, so young that had 2 children like me and now had to face this deadly disease head on. Thankfully my friend is now in recovery and has  shown amazing strength, courage, and hope. My devotion to this charity is even stronger now. In order to participate in the walk you need to raise a minimum amount of $2300 per walker, but with the help of friends, family, and complete strangers the Raise a Glass for a Cure Fundraiser at the Van Roekel Winery helped me leap closer to that goal, and gave the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation a huge step in the right direction to help find a cure for this disease someday!”

Andrea immediately struck me as a genuinely sweet and caring person. You go girl, you gals did a great job!

Hot Country Nights to Benefit Paws for Wounded Veterans – Service Dogs

Here are a few of my favorite shots from Hot Country Night Benefit for Pawz for Wounded Vets Program. Pawz for Wounded Vets provide service dogs free of charge to those who have been wounded in the service in need of mobility, independence, unconditional love, and the companionship an assistance dog offers.

Hot Country Nights lived up to it name it was quite hot but many showed up to give their support anyway and everyone had a great time dancing and participating in the raffle and Silent Auction. The fundraiser sported a lively band, The Silverados,  rocked the evening with live country music. We had a great time hanging out with our friends Donna Willis, the Canine Support Team Staff and many volunteers who organized and helped at the event. We met lots of great people and some really super awesome doggies!
